Terms of use
These terms cover your use of porto.boats. They are written plainly on purpose. Using the site means you accept them.
1. The site is informational
porto.boats publishes travel guides about boat tours, cruises, attractions and tickets in Porto and the Douro valley. We are not a travel agency, tour operator or ticket seller, and we are not the official website of any company, museum or public body named on this site.
Nothing here is an offer to sell a tour or a ticket. When you follow a link to a booking platform or an operator, any contract is between you and that company, under their terms.
2. Affiliate disclosure
Some outbound links are affiliate links, marked with a `nofollow sponsored` attribute and routed through a `/go/` redirect. If you book after using one, we may receive a commission from the platform. Your price is unchanged. Commission does not influence rankings, recommendations or the criticisms we publish, and no company can pay for coverage.
3. Accuracy and changes
Prices, timetables, opening hours and meeting points are quoted from official or partner pages at the time of writing, with the source named. They change, sometimes at short notice and often between the summer and winter schedules in Porto. Always confirm on the booking or official page before you travel or pay.
We correct errors as quickly as we can once they are reported, but we give no warranty that every figure on the site is current or complete.
4. Liability
The site is provided as is. To the extent permitted by law, we are not liable for loss arising from reliance on the content, from third party sites we link to, or from any service you book elsewhere. That includes missed departures, cancelled sailings, weather closures and changes in pricing.
Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited under Portuguese or EU consumer law.
5. Third party content and trade marks
Booking widgets are provided by GetYourGuide and load from its servers. Their behaviour, availability and prices are outside our control and subject to their terms and privacy policy.
Company names, brands and trade marks belong to their owners and are used here for identification and honest comparison only. Their appearance implies no partnership, endorsement or approval, except where a partnership is explicitly disclosed.
6. Our content
Text, structure and original graphics on porto.boats are ours. You may quote a short extract with a visible link back. Republishing whole pages, or feeding them into a derivative site, is not permitted without written consent.
Photographs are licensed from third parties and credited on the photo credits page. Their licences travel with the images, not with this site.
7. Changes, law and contact
We may update these terms. The version published here always applies. Portuguese law governs them, and the courts of Porto have jurisdiction, without removing any protection you have as a consumer where you live.
